Aim of book

Showcase different approaches to AI hybrid co-created writing.

Begin your AI literary adventure by entering our competition, with a prize for best text.

This is very first book-sized AI Writing Anthology. It is intended to become a regular publication. Published by Leopard Print Publishing, LPP London, as the first in their new technology series.

Want to use AI generation? We have provided a free AI text generator (with Fabrice Bellard) and editor Story Live text generator.

AI = Artificial Intelligence, and includes for this book, use of online generators, NLP, custom machine learning, etc. (see below).

We are looking for creative writing, not essays on the topic, although your thoughts can be included in a Comments section.

Do you use AI to generate ideas? Ideas could be plot changes, new characters, new emotions, interjected material, supporting material, parallel stories.
Or is prompt programming in the newest systems now so powerful that this is enough human influence? But then who would read the output story? (Other bots?)
Old school experimental techniques like OuLiPo, Dada, exquisite corpse, automatic writing, cut-ups, etc, should be avoided unless used with AI techniques.
Natural Language Processing (NLP) can be used, such as sentiment analysis, statistical writing, structural writing (skeletons, grids, pyramids etc.) where it is not just decoration.
Style transfer is allowed, but this is not what we are looking for.
Format can be linear, non-linear, art text design, etc.
Drawings can also be included or colour art, but this is subject to approval and editing. Please use our Contact form to explain, as the text form will not include images.
Notes can be added. The entry form has a Comments panel, please describe your process, if you feel this is appropriate, and any thoughts on this. We will confirm before publication that you want them made public. Comments on texts will be in the addendum, rather than presented with the text.

Texts will not be altered, as AI co-created text can be unusual. However some minor editing might be required by agreement.

Free Online Generator

Story Software has the Story Live text generator, which uses open source AI, written by Fabrice Bellard, and used with permission in the generator/editor site Geoff Davis used for his research at UAL CCI London. This uses GPT-J and a couple of others. Other generators are available, please search to find them.

Format
Online entry via form with fields for comments, scale of co-creativity, short biography, etc. Book published as paper book and ebook.

Maximum length per text is around 2000-3000 words. Shorter is good, but this is entirely up to you. If you have a longer co-created work, please edit an excerpt. Minimum is a page,  so about 100-200 words. Until the work arrives it is hard to say what the typical piece will be.

Please do not enter too many texts, or one big text made up of lots of separate things, even though it might be tempting. Only 3 maximum from each author will be reviewed.
